The charity is partnering with football star and CMRF ambassador Robbie Keane for a new fundraiser entitled Supporting Small Victories Every Day.

To kick off the fundraiser, Robbie visited Crumlin Children’s Hospital on Monday, meeting and greeting the children staying there.

Robbie said of his ambassadorship: “I’m proud to support CMRF, as every child deserves a happy childhood and a day-to-day filled with things that make them smile.

“Children living with chronic illnesses should have the same opportunities as anyone else, and I hope that everyone gets behind the campaign to help CMRF continue to give these children hope for a better every day.”

According to the CEO of CMRF Crumlin, Lisa-Nicole Dunne, funds raised will go toward pioneering paediatric research and medical care, to ensure that children suffering from debilitating illness can still “get the most out of life”.

The CEO added: “There are so many children who face daily challenges and need our support to ensure they have the best opportunities and advancements available.” To donate to CMRF, visit cmrf.org
