Search continues as body parts found in four separate locations

Gardai have now discovered human remains in four separate locations in the Wicklow mountains as searches continue across a 30km area – from Military Road to Glenmacanass.

Members of the public discovered a human torso on Saturday evening, just off Military Road, and since then Gardai have found body parts in another three areas.

The remains belong to an, as yet, unidentified white male in his 20s.

It is believed the man was recently murdered, and his body parts were then dumped across the mountains sometime in the last seven days.

Gardai are now going through missing person reports to see can they identify the man.

The roads in the area remain closed to motorists, with the AA saying: “Military Rd remains closed until further notice between the viewing point in Tallaght and Glencree.”
