Spring 2018 to finalise plans for Adamstown

THE PLANNING process for the Adamstown to Celbridge link road is expected to be completed by Spring 2018, the Lucan area committee of South Dublin County Council heard at their meeting last week.

Councillor William Lavelle had tabled a question asking for “a detailed update on the time-frame for the planning process for the proposed development of the Adamstown SDZ to Celbridge Road link?”

The Council replied and stated the Celbridge Link Road will be subject to planning consent under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) (Part 8).

The Council added: The design of the road and the associated planning requirements is currently being finalised, with an expectation that a Part 8 will be lodged either before the end of the year or early in 2018. The Part 8 will go on public display for a minimum of six weeks, following which SDCC will prepare a Chief Executive’s Report based on the submissions. Upon receipt of the Report, SDCC elected representatives shall within six weeks of the receipt of the Report, consider the proposed development and the Report. It is anticipated that the planning process associated with the Celbridge Link Road will be completed in Spring 2018.”
