St Jude’s capture Dublin Division Three Féile crown

St Judes will now go forward to the National Camogie Féile after they beat Skerries Harps 4-0 to 0-1 in the Dublin Division Three Final on Sunday.

Two goals either side of the half-time whistle from four different scorers ensured that the Templeogue side would leave Lorcan O’Toole Park with the spoils.

It did not take them long to get going with Jenny Power breaking the deadlock within six minutes of the throw-in.

The northsiders began hitting Judes on the counter, forcing Iseult Caffrey into some crucial saves.

However, Jude’s played Skerries at their own game and absorbed their advances whiletrying to catch them on the break.

Mia Clohessy nicked a second for Judes before  Mille Farrelly nudged them even further ahead after the interval.

Skerries finally pulled one back when Alex Ward closed out a nice team move by finding the back of the net.

And they continued to press for more goals but could not find a way past the solid Templeogue backline with captain Caoimhe Begley and Sarah Frisby holding firm.

The unrelenting pressure did not phase Jude’s and they caught Skerries on the break one final time when Emma Maher netted after some nice build-up play involving Farrelly and Heather Dunworth to cap a very impressive performance by the Templeogue side.
