Tallaght man banged on door and threatened to kill woman

A MAN who contravened a safety order by threatening to kill a woman had his case further remanded for finalisation by Tallaght Court.

Derek Manley, aged 35, with an address at Cairnwood Avenue, Tallaght, had pleaded guilty to contravening a safety order by threatening to kill a woman while banging on her door at an address at Donomore Crescent in Tallaght on May 10, 2015.

He was before Judge Patricia McNamara for a probation report.

Judge McNamara said it was a positive report. She asked to hear the facts.

Sergeant Michael Ahern said that at 12.30am on May 10, 2015, gardaí responded to a call to go to Donomore Crescent.

He said Manley’s ex-partner said Manley had lost his temper and started banging on her door and threatening to kill her.

Sgt Ahern said Manley had four previous convictions.

Judge McNamara remanded Manley on continuing bail for a month to finalise the case.
