Tallaght one step away from their greatest prize

TALLAGHT RFC will be looking to take the final step on the road to the coveted John Madden Cup when they face off against Coolmine in the final this Sunday at 3pm in Malahide.

Victory would bring with it, the highest ranked trophy in the club’s history.

Tallaght made their way to the final by thumping Malahide 52-20 and then winning a thrilling semi-final 26-25 against Railway Union while Coolmine havemade it this far by beating CYM 32-21 and then seeing off the challenge of Guinness 39-10 in their last four tie.

Currently third in Division Seven of the Metro League with five wins from eight games Tallaght have shown some very good form this season.

Already it is the furtheest they have been in the Madden Cup having previously lost in a semi-final of this competition.
