Last Friday morning, Rosha was arrested by arrangement outside Tallaght Garda Station.

He was later charged and made no reply.

Rosha, aged 29, with an address at Falcon View, New Navan Road, Dublin 15, is charged with assaulting a named female causing her harm at Stocking Avenue, Rathfarnham, on December 10, 2016.

Garda Vincent Jaffray told Judge McNamara that the DPP had directed summary disposal.

He said that he did not have a medical report on the alleged victim’s injuries.

Garda Jaffray said Rosha is a taxi driver and it will be alleged that at 5am on December 10 last, he picked up a female passenger on Leeson Street and was driving her to her home in Rathfarnham.

Garda Jaffray said it will be alleged that there was an argument over the fare and Rosha grabbed the woman by the neck and threw her out of the cab.

The injured party later reported the incident to the gardai.

He said the injured party received no medical treatment.

Judge McNamara accepted jurisdiction. Rosha’s solicitor, Padraig O’Donovanz, said his client works as a taxi driver.

He asked if his client should be charged with common assault and not assault causing harm.

Judge McNamara released Rosha on bail and remanded him to a date in September for a plea or a date for hearing.
