Teenager hospitalised after assault involving hurley in Tallaght

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a serious assault which took in Kingswood last night and left one person needing to be hospitalised.

A male teenager was attacked, with what is believed to have been a hurl, in the Sylvan area near the Kingswood Luas stop at around 10pm.

The teen was later hospitalised and treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be serious.

An area was cordoned off by Gardai overnight, and anyone with information with is urged to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01-6666000.
