Three family members and male plead guilty to serious public order incident
THREE MEMBERS of a family and another male have pleaded guilty in Blanchardstown District Court to their involvement in a serious public order incident in Clondalkin last September.
Gerard Stokes, aged 51, his wife, Kathleen, aged 46, and their daughter, Mary, aged 23, all with an address at Shancastle Avenue, Clondalkin, all pleaded guilty to breaching the peace and failing to comply with a garda’s directions at Shancastle Avenue on September 27, 2017.
Gerard also pleaded guilty to violent disorder at Shancastle Avenue on the above date. Mary also pleaded guilty to violent disorder and to obstructing a garda at Shancastle Avenue on the above date.
Kathleen also pleaded guilty to obstructing a garda at Shancastle Avenue on the above date.
Martin O’Donnell, aged 20, with an address at Tor An Rí Lane, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to violent disorder, failing to comply with a garda’s directions and assault causing harm at Shancastle Avenue on the above date.
The Stokes and O’Donnell’s solicitor, Simon Fleming, told Judge David McHugh that his clients were pleading guilty. He asked the judge to put the cases back for presentence reports.
Noting the guilty pleas, Judge McHugh remanded the Stokes and O’Donnell on continuing bail to a date in June for presentence reports.
