The centre has recently added a new range of courses to keep up with changes in the industry.

“There’s never been a more exciting time to have a career in the hair & beauty industry.” said Veronica O’Kelly, co-owner the Waverley Academy.

She continued: “In recent years, treatments and techniques in salons have advanced so much and customers expect the latest trend in their local salon. We at Waverley are constantly responding to these demands so that all our students graduate with the highest standards and techniques possible.”

Some of its courses include the combined ITEC Beauty Therapy and Express Treatment course which equips students to become salon ready, and includes all essential beauty treatments including nails, make-up, skincare and tanning.

The Academy has also developed a new tailored package for staff in salons and spas to upskill or refresh their skills, and also offers an ITEC teacher training course.
