Witness appeal after man struck by car in Tallaght

A MAN was brought to Tallaght Hospital by ambulance after being struck by a car in Tallaght, with gardai starting an appeal for witnesses following the road traffic collision.

Just after 11pm on Saturday night, a pedestrian was “seriously injured” in a collision with a car on the Blessington Road.

Both Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.

The pedestrian, who is believed to be a 31-year-old male, was brought by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital following the incident.

According to An Garda Siochána, his condition is not thought to be life threatening while the motorist went injured in the collision.

“Gardaí at Tallaght are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are also appealing to any road user with video footage from the location at the time of the collision to make it available to them,” a Garda spokesperson said.
