And the nominees for Tallaght Person of the Year are…

OVER 160 people have been nominated for this year’s Tallaght Person of the Year Awards.

The volunteer-led event, which is the highlight of Tallaght’s social calendar, will see members of the community receive recognition for their role in making a difference in the area.

There are eight award categories, namely the Arts and Culture Award, the Business Award, the Sgt Andrew Callinan Community Award, the Michael Dooley Environment Award, the Heart of Gold Award, the Special Needs and Carers Award, the Philip Preston Sports Award and the Maurice McConnell Youth Award.

The Tallaght Person of the Year Awards will be held in the Red Cow Moran Hotel on Friday, November 16.
