Have you seen Banksy?

An “extremely friendly” puppy, who had been adopted from the DSPCA, has gone missing after last being seen in the Tallaght area.

Speaking to The Echo this afternoon (Monday), owner Sean Callanan said that Banksy, a male terrier-lurcher mix, has been missing since last Monday, June 4 - and was reportedly seen around the Saggart, Sundale and Rossview areas on Wednesday (June 6).

Mr Callanan said that his wife has been “distraught” since Banksy went missing and that his family have printed and been handing out fliers in the hope of finding their missing dog.

Despite receiving a phone call from a person over the weekend asking about a reward, Banksy currently remains missing - adding to Sean’s fear that someone “is holding him with a view to selling him or with a view to obtaining a reward”.

Banksy, who is also microchipped, wears a white collar with a blue name tag that has Sean’s contact details on it.

Anybody with information regarding Banksy’s whereabouts, and who can help get him home, is encouraged to contact 087 6641276 or 083 8191430.
