Man accused of €175,000 cocaine-dealing remanded on continuing bail for three weeks

A MAN accused of dealing in cocaine worth €175,000 has been remanded on bail by Tallaght Court for service of his book of evidence.
Philip Douglas, aged 30, with an address at Monalea Grove, Firhouse, is charged with simple possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale or supply at an address at Verschoyle Glen, Saggart, on October 10, 2017.
He is also charged with possession of cocaine for sale or supply with a value of €13,000 or more at the Verschoyle Glen address also on October 10, 2017.
Douglas is also charged with simple possession of ecstasy, cannabis and diazepam at his address at Monalea Grove, also on October 10, 2017.
The court had heard it will be alleged that the cocaine involved was worth €175,000.
Sergeant Eithne Madden told Judge Patricia McNamara that the book was not ready.
She asked for a remand of three weeks. Douglas’s solicitor, Padraig O’Donovan, consented to the application.
Judge McNamara remanded Douglas on continuing bail for three weeks for service of his book of evidence.
