Mother recalls baby daughter and her devastating disease

A DUBLIN mother has relived how her baby daughter died of a devastating skin condition – as she urged people to support the charity helping 300 others in Ireland cope with it.

Katie Ryle should have been a 19-year-old looking forward to Christmas with family and friends, but her life was tragically cut short after just eight weeks by epidermolysis bullosa (EB), the extremely painful genetic condition caused by missing proteins which bind skin layers together.
