The drive for five
THE EXCITEMENT is building ahead of this Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Football Final between Dublin and Kerry in Croke Park.
Local residents are playing their part in the build-up with flags and bunting hanging proudly from houses around Tallaght, Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Lucan.

Flags have been flying all week ahead of this big game and the Tallaght by-pass has had flags on lamposts for the past few weeks.
Local clubs have also been playing their part with banners all around club grounds adding to the excitement.
Jim Gavin’s hometown of Clondalkin is a sea of colour and around Michael Collins Park and Cappaghmore residents have put in big efforts to make the area blue.
Dublin will be aiming to make history on Sunday by becoming the first senior team to capture Sam Maguire for the fifth year running.

They meet a Kerry side who will be eager to stop them achieving this, as they are the only county that have won the top prize four times.
Ballyboden St Enda’s Michael Darragh Macauley will have a key role to play for Dublin along with Niall Scully of Templeogue Synge Street and Kevin McManamon of St Jude’s.
