Lads play their heart out in Frame Football event

FRAME football pioneers Esker Celtic FC travelled over to Birmingham for a tournament.
This was the second year the team travelled to Birmingham for the tournament. The hardy bunch of athletes are forging a path for inclusion in sports.
They are a very competitive group made up of Lucan’s James Casserly, Jacob Foley, Zach, Adam, Ben, Aaron, Cian, Neil, Finn and Matthew.
They are the first frame football team in the country.
Their coach, Keith Nolan told The Echo: “All the lads gave 100 per cent and they played their hearts out. We can’t ask for any more than that.”
The team is only a few years old. In 2016, Esker Celtic FC started their frame football team with coaching from Oisin Jordan from the FAI.
Eight young people turned up for training for the perfect start for this new team. Training kicked off straight away and the levels of enthusiasm from players and coaches was amazing.
Players were able to show off their dribbling, passing and shooting skills to all who watched. As the session went on it was clear to all that Frame Football would attract a good crowd with friends and family all arriving and lending their support to the players.
The session went so quickly that one or two players (and coaches) didn’t want it to end.
