Man (30s) arrested in connection with alleged assault on Luas

GARDAI investigating the alleged assault of a female that is reported to have occurred on a Luas tram have arrested a man.

The alleged assault is reported to have occurred on Sunday evening, October 29.

According to a Garda statement issued, the man (30s) was arrested in the early hours of this morning Wednesday, November 8, and is currently detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.

Gardai are continuing to appeal to members of the public who may have witnessed an alleged assault on board the Luas between Jervis Street and Heuston Station at approximately 7.10pm on Sunday, October 29, to come forward.
