Accused of attempting to impede a prosecution, dangerous driving and driving a stolen car
A MAN accused of attempting to impede a prosecution, dangerous driving and driving a stolen car has been sent forward for trial to Naas Circuit Court.
Gary Prentice was before Judge David McHugh in Blanchardstown District Court for service of his book of evidence.
Prentice, aged 29, with an address at Rossfield Drive, Tallaght, is charged with driving a stolen car, dangerous driving, no insurance and no driving licence at Main Street, Newcastle, on January 24, 2018.
He is also charged with two counts of attempting to impede a prosecution at an address at Beaufort Drive, Maynooth, County Kildare, on January 24, 2018.
Prentice is also charged with possession of a crowbar, a hammer, a false registration plate, gloves and an axe for use in theft at Main Street, Newcastle, also on January 24 last.
A Solicitor for the DPP told Judge McHugh that the book of evidence was ready to be served. He said the DPP had consented for Prentice to be sent forward for trial to the next sitting of Naas District Court.
Judge McHugh issued Prentice with the alibi warning and sent him forward on bail to the next sitting of Naas District Court.
