THE RESIDENTS of Esker Woods in Lucan are taking their first steps in setting up a new residents association.
Esker Woods has not had a residents association since 2007.

With over 130 houses in the estate, some local residents held a meeting at 8.30pm in the function room of the Penny Hill Pub in Lucan on Tuesday, December 10, with a view to setting up a new residents association.
Allan McGuinness told The Echo: “We just feel that there is a need for a residents association.
"We had two in the past, one from 1992 to 2000 and one from 2000 to 2007.”
He said: “We want to make sure that the estate is kept clean and tidy and introduce some element of Neighbourhood Watch.
“I know that a meeting on Tuesday night won’t suit everyone but it would be good to chat and to put names to faces and put the basics in place before an AGM which we plan to call in January if there are enough interested parties.”
South Dublin County Council does not have a guide to setting up a residents association but they have offered to send a representative to join the group at their AGM to give guidance.
