Housing development ‘almost an own goal’
A LARGE development in Cherry Orchard doesn’t have the level of consultation it requires for a proposal that will “change the area forever”, according to councillors.
The Land Development Agency (LDA) are in partnership with Dublin City Council (DCC) for a new development of over 1,100 homes for the Cherry Orchard Point project – which includes proposals for cost rental, social and affordable purchase housing for 1,131 homes and 23,400 sqm of retail and community space.
