Leaving Cert students recieve their results
Leaving Certificate students across Tallaght and Clondalkin are receiving their results today after a year of hard work, and local schools have paid tribute to the dedication of their pupils.
The results became available online and in schools at 10am this morning, with pupils across the region turning up to collect their results along with their friends.
Many schools around the area have reported nothing but smiles this morning as the hopeful students arrived at the school doors for the last time to collect their results.
Kingswood Community College is the site of one of these scenes, where families gathered to pick up the physical pieces of paper that the students worked for.
Principal Mary Murphy encouraged students not to forget the local school after their years-long journey with them came to a close.

The Principal said: “I’d like to congratulate our Leaving Cert class of 2026. We’ve had a quick look at our results, we’re absolutely thrilled for them.
“I’d like to congratulate every one of them and we wish you the very best going forward in whatever you do – whether it’s an apprenticeship, a PLC, university – and don’t forget where we are.”
Principal at Moyle Park College, Niamh Cahalane, praised the senior level students for all their hard work over their final year in the school, and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

She said: “Some of the kids here are already talking about doing Maths in UCD or doing law in Maynooth and they’re happy, the big thing is that they get what they wanted.
Our Leaving Certificate Applied kids did exceptionally well as well, so, across the board, no matter what sector they’re going into, they seem to be happy.”
Principal at Coláiste Bríde, Marie-Therese Kilmartin, expressed the overwhelming feeling of pride that has overcome staff and students at the school today.
She also highlighted the important fact that the Leaving Cert is not the be all and end all for students, saying:
“The statement of results is not a definition for life, it is just a piece of paper today, but it’s part of the journey moving forward.
“We wish them well on their next steps and they’re always welcome back to Coláiste Bríde, particularly to share their experiences and their insights and help the next generation coming after them.”
